Summary: Collection consists of the records of the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railway Co. in the Southwest, 1880-1913. Included are: payroll books from the Santa Fe Maintenance of Way and Structures for various divisions in the Southwest, 1911-1913; letterpress copybooks with proposed (March 1- May 1, 1881) and approved invoices (ca. 1910, 1911) for capital improvements; and a copy of a letter from J.D. Burr, assistant engineer, to A.A. Robinson, chief engineer, concerning a possible railroad route from Fort Craig to Tucson, Arizona, and including a 48 page survey of Southern New Mexico and Arizona.
